Canada's and Brazil's Food Comparison

Hi! It has been a while since I've posted something! It is now close to the end of my trip to Toronto, BUT I can still talk about a few stuff ;). So, today, as you may have seen in the title, I'm gonna compare the food in Canada with the food in Brazil.
I have been to the USA a couple times and I can say that food in North America is usually fast food. Sorry. Of course there are many restaurants with healthy food, but, for me, it's too expensive. In Canada I can see that people choose more healthier foods than the USA, but still a lot of people tend to go for fast food because they're late for work or whatever. Or probably because it's cheaper. Also, I'd like to add that a lot of people in Canada go to the gym and I see that they're pretty healthy, so basically what I'm talking about is the unhealthy population that is present all around the world.
I just wanted to say a few things about the people here before starting comparing stuff. Alright, enough prep talk and let's talk about the main topic. Probably I shouldn't take sides but since it's my country we're talking about I'm gonna lean for my country's side for this topic haha. Of course, I prefer my country's food because I'm used to it. Here in Toronto, Canada, there are ALL kinds of restaurants such as a brazilian restaurant, chinese, indian, japanese and so on. So, to talk about typical Canadian food we'd be in trouble because it's all mixed up!

For example, this image above is the Las Vegas Roll in a japanese restaurant called Spring Sushi, here in Toronto.

Now, I want to say that it is amazing, but we also have something similar because we also have japanese restaurants!

This is called Carioca.

This is a delicious Canadian lunch

And this is a delicious Brazilian lunch.

We also have plenty of unique food such as Coxinha, Brigadeiro Tapioca, and so on. I'll talk about these three.

This is Coxinha. It has many flavours that you can choose, but the common one is chicken.

This is Brigadeiro. It's chocolate, obviously, and it's usually served in ceremonies such as a birthday party.

And last but not least, this is Tapioca. I think that to talk about this one is very important because it's an unique meal of my region, the northeast of Brazil. It comes from the natives that were in our country before we invaded lol. It's made of manioc and you can add anything you want inside it, such as cheese, ham, bacon or whatever, go ahead!

Thanks for reading, see you in the next post!
